I wasn't a Zelda fan back when Wind Waker was revealed, but I would have been one of the few fans of the style at that time, amongst thousands of whiny Zelda fans. Toon Link is great in 3D. He can show emotion, and to this day The Wind Waker Link is the ONLY one with anything resembling a personality. (PH Link lost that unfortunately) And he looks just the same in the game as in the art. How is it any different? Compare my avatar to the ingame Link. Finally, how didn't the story play like a Zelda? It was different, sure, but overall I'd say it's the best story in the series.

it's not the best story...and Toon Link showed too much surprise on his face.TP link also shows emotions..but his entire design shouts: LINK
Toon Link does not..he just looks like a boy..even Young Link looks resolute...
as for the art: check out the art for Four Sword Adventures..THAT is resolute...that shouts Link..yet..in 3D he fails hard...
th best Zelda story?....I don't think you get it...all Zelda games follow one big story..and WW story is out of place..and weird...it just is ^^''
it feels screwed up....and the game doesn't really play as a Zelda game..except for Dungeons
seriously..I understand you're a newer fan..it's really okay ^_^''
but Link has no voice..and not too much emotion...and you should understand why: Zelda is a game..not a movie
YOU are the Hero...'Link' is a name they gave...cuz, well...Hero sounds stupid, Link is you...you should write your name...so you're the main character...expressions..words are yours.
if the game did all of it for you, Zelda wouldn't be Zelda anymore..and you wouldn't feel like Link...
