I don't think hardcore gamers 'get it' because they think it's all about the AAA+ games. They will still sell, but that market isn't expanding, in fact it's dropping due to the over complication of games these days. But it's hard to see the bigger picture when all you see is the online sentiment of hardcore games (only hardcore gamers are into gaming enough to post in blogs and responses and forums - casuals don't care that much). I think February's NPD numbers will be hella interesting... I think Wii play has the potential to take out the no.1 spot with over 500k copies sold if not more.
