I use a 32" LG 720p/1080i LCD for my Wii and as long as you use component cables it looks brilliant.
You can get cheap 3 rd party cables for $5-$10, which work fine because they are only sending a 480p signal.
EDIT, TC I really dont recommend going for a "no name" brand hdtv, you are much better spending a few hundred more bucks to get a brand name one (Samsung, LG, Sony, Panasonic etc). If you buy the cheap ones, you may end up being disspointed, they build them with cheap components that dont work that good, motion blur, colours look shit etc.
