The story:

So I tell my Mom "Well, can you drive me to the mall/movie theater? I want to go see this movie"

Mom: "What movie"

Me: "Wall-E"

Mom: "That movie is stupid, you won't like it, it'll be like Chicago (a movie we rented which everyone loved but we HATED)"

Me: "I seen the trailers and stuff, I think I will"

Mom: "Nah"

Me: "Well, I think I'll go see The Dark Knight instead"

Mom: "No, it's rated R and it's too violent"

Me: "..." (She had a point, I thought it was PG-13)

Mom: "Well since you aren't going to your silly movie we can take you out to dinner"

Me: "Okay...how about Red Lobster?"

Mom: "Sure"

Anyway, so me and my parents ended up going to Red Lobster.

Later, when we got home, my Mom came to me and this conversation happened

Mom: "Hey *name*"

Me: "Yeah"

Mom: "I'm sorry about not taking you to your movie, but I'm worried the mall is dangerous and I didn't want to sit through the movie because I know I wouldn't like it"

Me: "Oh...alright."

Me: "Couldn't Dad have taken me? He never minds anything."

Mom: "Hmm, good point. How about next Monday you can go with him? I heard the mall is least dangerous on Monday."

Me: "Sounds good. Thanks!"

So I got a great meal out of it, and I'll get to go next week.
