Wii jOG takes inspiration from Wii Fit?

A mysterious product called Wii jOG has cropped up on the listings of online retailer Play.com, and while it isn't specifically Wii Balance Board-related, we reckon it merits a mention.

Touted as a brand new controller for the Nintendo Wii, 'Wii jOG' seems to encourage exercise while gaming, by translating your real life movements to those of your character on-screen. Wii Fit running similarity, anyone?

The blurb reads:

"Wii jOG is the innovative motion-sensing controller that brings a whole new dimension to your living room gaming experience. With jOG your character only moves when you do. Plug jOG into your existing console and wow! jOG measures the steps you take and translates them to movement on screen! Now, when you move in the real-world, you really move in the game!"

Wii jOG is down for release at the end of October. We'll bring you more information on it as soon as we can.
