OK, given that you are a PC gamer and have plenty of old school type games, I have to say go with the Wii.
1) It's cheap and shouldn't prohibit grabbing another console later.
2) It doesn't have a high chance of meltdown.
3) The VC will allow you to get tons of old school games.
4) The Wiimote will give you an experience you just can't get from a PC.
5) Most of the big PS3 and 360 will end up on the PC sooner or later.
6) If Metroid does as expected, and other companies copy the control scheme, the Wii could be the future home of the FPS.
7) Everyone else is doing it.
