Yep, HD-DVD would probably have won. PS3 is the only reason Blu-Ray won.
Doubt it, BluRay had the bigger studio support from the start, so the fight would have gone on till eternity. You are aware that a HD-DVD 360 would never have come out before the PS3 and it would have been just as expensive? The BluRay drive was the major reason for the PS3 price and delay.
And without price advantage, a year headstart, and developers knowing the system the 360 wouldn't have had a chance. So that's how it is. Most likely we would have seen dual discs players sometime.
