I don't think it's farfetched at all to think Fox was going to get bought over to the side of HD DVD, and Sony bid higher to stay with Blu ray. These things happen
But I did some looking yesterday, and all this info is 6 months old... couldn't find confirmation that it was true, nor could I find confirmation that it was false. At least I linked where I saw my news, maybe you could do us a favor and show us who proved that it's false. I don't care about the details of who paid off who, but it would be nice to know the real answer if there is a definitive one out there, whether true or false
