It boils down to fear for most people. Since most people won't own all 3 consoles, they will fear that the 1 (or 2) the bought was/were the "wrong" one(s). I find 360 owners to be the most defensive about their purchase. That's not a personal attack, just an observation. I imagine that a lot of it has to do with the fact that they feel the need to defend sticking by a consoe despite its shoddy hardware.
