Also. No... i don't see HD-DVD winning. At best it would of had a split market.
Japan was already HEAVILY invested in Blu-ray before HD-DVD hit the market.
Really Toshiba should look to sell China HD-DVD. I know some chinese economists have suggested they go with their own media format after they got screwed by DVD. This would save them the trouble of having to invent one.
