This thread is about pitching your preferred console to the original poster. Instead of phrasing your pitch in the form of a criticism of other people's posts, I suggest you frame it in your own post, pitching this as one of the Wii's strengths, instead of one of the PS3's weaknesses. I'm aware those go hand in hand, but it would be nice to both keep this thread on topic (pitching your preferred console, not criticising other people's preferred consoles) while simultaneously remaining positive and upbeat. |
I understand that, but read MY post! I'm not arguing premise either - I think I was being fair! I criticized all consoles (Wii = subpar graphics compared to other consoles, PS3/360 = subpar pretty much everything else compared to a PC)!
Honestly, I couldn't do the bit about pitching the preferred console platform, because despite having a Wii, it's not my preferred - I don't have any preferred gaming platform as they all have their strengths and weaknesses - and I will most certainly buy a PS3 and a 360 sometime in the near future. Even then, neither one will become my preferred platform. I like to play games, period. That alone makes me happy.
I had this feeling that KGB29 came from a purely console-centric background, and probably didn't know these things I stated about the PC. I wanted him to gain a bit of perspective regarding PC gaming, because none of the consoles is the best thing since sliced bread when pitted against a PC. Console owners who don't game with PCs often fail to see this.
But I understand your point, Bodhesatva. I may have come off as aggressively attacking the PS3 but it was not my intention. My intention was to give an objective evaluation, specifically addressing the OP's comment.
Edit: I guess since I don't have a preferred console, I shouldn't comment then. If that's the case, please disregard all my posts in this thread.
