I wouldn't mind paying for maps, obviously not an obscene amount if it's on a per map (as opposed to map pack) basis. But, it could be good to bundle them (by rating, themes etc).

I think people would much rather spend 0.5$ on a map, than say half an hour creating it themselves

 

Since this 0.5$ is just a wild guess that point is totally pointless... :P
