I would reccomend you to get the PS3 because the PS3 has the best setup as it stands. As you are experienced with a PC, and PC equipment, You will love to know the fact that you can plug a USB keyboard/mouse into the PS3. Infact you can also use standard BlueTooth keyboard/mice with it! Those work very well for surfing the web, or even running linux on the PS3. Speaking of linux, you can install linux on your PS3 to do your word processing and such if you dont feel like doing it on your PC! While on PC-goodness, you have Folding@Home. A program designed to fold proteins to find a cure to many common diseases including parkensons and alzhimers.Also, your PS3 has the ability to download trailers for the latest movies, and games. You also have the ability to download and play demos of the latest games.
The Playstation Network allows for the purchace of full fledged games for anywhere from 2.99 to 19.99 (for now).
Speaking of the videos earlier. You can hook your PS3 up to your TV and output your video in FULL1080P. HDTV at it's finest. You have a built-in BluRay Player, which as you know is the winning format in the HDvideo war.

Do the research for yourself. You will find that all 3 of them are amazing consoles, that will give you great fun. I have learned... DONT pick the consoles that have the most problems you dont like. Pick the console with the LEAST problems. What you consider a problem might not be what I consider a problem. I can sumarize almost everyone on what they say.
360 - We have the most games, Best online, good price.
PS3 - Nothing now, but in 6 months. OMFG.
