I wasn't including handheld games or downloadable games. If we were counting VC (all published by Nintendo) games and DS games (12 so far), Nintendo would have a billion and win by a landslide. This way it's a 5-5-3 split between the big 3. Anyway, I thought this was hilarious and wanted to share it.
It also instantly explains why the Wii has dominated the first half of the year, with its self-published Brawl/Kart/Fit combo covering every demographic. Not much competition for the first half of the year from first parties. There were of course some giganticnormous 3rd party games so far this year. Well, 2 of them anyway.
