If you can afford it, get them all.
If not... well, it'd be easier to sell you a system if I knew what your general preferences are.
For myself, I have a strong attachment to Nintendo's franchises, and that more than anything put the Wii atop my list. The $250 price tag helped a lot too, along with the free online stuff and backwards compatability (my GameCube fried).
However, this is just the start. I plan on getting a 360 by year's end, and I imagine my wife will be getting a PS3 before too long (might've done it already if not for her need to get a new $4000 iBook).
Some questions:
1) What consoles (if any) have you owned in the past? What did you like/dislike about them?
2) How much money do you have to spend?
3) What genres of games do you prefer?
4) Do you have an HDTV? If so, how big a screen? What about sound?
5) How important are HD movies to you?
6) How important is online play?
7) Just so we can rule out the 360, are you Japanese?
8) Do you often have friends over to play games?
9) Do you have a sister? Is she hot?
10) Do you mind sending systems in for repairs?
11) Does blood bother you? How about cute?
