It is a MODEL price drop not a CONSOLE price cut.
I am very glad i dont have the problem of multiple SKU's for the PS3 made stuff alot easier in the UK.But if they do release the 80GB over here they should 1.Drop the price of the 60GB to £300 (then its the same price as the 360 with one game and most stores are selling the PS3 with 1 free game anyway) 2.Price the 80GB PS3 at the old £400 price point then it IS a pricecut in the UK and it will sell alot better than it is here.
