There was no reason to buy it during PS2 times, everyone wanted to develop for it exclusively anyway.  It's called a business decision.

OK, you're right, but I don't see them buying them. I'll believe it when I see it. Besides, shouldn't they just focus on funding internal developnent anyway?

That would be internal development.  If they bought Level 5, every game they pumped out would be internally developed.  Internal development comes from buying studios.  That's how Guerilla, Zipper, Evolution, etc are now "internally developed" studios.

And they'll only buy someone if they have the money for it, (i.e.: when they make profit).
