I think you are wrong Soriku. It's extremely smart of Sony to encourage their own first-party for a lot of reason. First of all, they have complete control on the game and development process. Second of all, they are always sure the franchises remain on Sony platforms. Third of all, in the long-run, they will have really strong first party developers like Nintendo has and the core userbase would allow them to sustain their hard times. In short, they are investing their money for the long term.

If you buy exclusivity, you basically give the money to a third-party and hope that it helps you. Micro$oft do it because that always been their business strategy from the moment they bought their first OS to today.
