An interesting people with an interesting history, although they've tended to get overshadowed by being right between Austria, Russia, and Turkey. |
Erm, what? I can understand Russia because Hungary borders with Ukraine which was part of Russia at some point, but there is a long way and a group of what used to be Yugoslavian countries between Hungary and Turkey.

Turkey and Russia streched way further before WW1. The several hundred years before it consisted of those major powers, and a few others fighting over the Balkans/Eastern Europe. Of course Russia only got so far west after Hungary became a part of Austria, and the situation is way more complicated than that anyway.
Imagine I said "stronger neighbours" instead. =P
