i don't know how to explain to someone why i have fun.. it brings a smile to my face and the faces of others when we play.. i have no idea why that happens.. maybe the games are good

...

also @OP, i like how you can only come up with wii music right after you say "wii owners are the ones who claim to have fun" even though not one wii owner has played wii music, let alone said it was fun to play it.. if you can come up with an actual example, then people may be able to reply with more substance

I used wii music because I just read about how it didn't even have a scoring system on kotaku and was thinking...how is this even a game when you just wave the controller and music keeps playing? You can't really argue that the wii crowd don't use the word "fun" all the time!

i completely agree with you on the topic of "wii music is a poor excuse for a game" .. but what i'm getting at is, who, on this forum or similar forum, has said that wii music is fun since the announcement? i for one haven't seen one person claim that..

i certainly do read people saying that they have fun playing the wii.. that doesn't mean that they are claiming that every single game in the wii's library is fun, so i don't understand how you came to the conclusion that wii owners have pointed to wii music as an example of a 'fun' game

Totally agree. I'm someone who thinks the Wii is fun, but from what I've seen of it Wii Music looks awful. It's the first 'game' that really does deserve the title non-game as it has no goal and nothing to achieve. From what I understand you don't even control it and you get the same outcome whatever buttons you press. Mini-games collections may not be your idea of a good game, but they have a goal and a purpose. The same goes for Wii Fit and other Wii-type games. I find things like that fun because they're quick and easy to play and you can reach the goal quickly. I hate RPGs, the main reason being that I don't have the attention span to reach the end-goal. I have fun when I achieve a goal and so the Wii is generally going to be more fun for someone like me. It also probably explains why my favourite genres are racing and fighting as they incorporate lots of quick goals. I expect more people refer to the Wii as fun because in modern society most people have short attention spans, especially when it comes to entertainment. Achieving something NOW is fun for most.
