And not only that, I lke the "boring" tutorials. I like complicated control schemes. Having to press the left trigger to aim from the hip and fire with the right trigger. As I grew up controllers become more complex gradually, so I didn´t have much trouble adjusting to it. So, it doesn´t take me hours to enjoy such games. I enjoy it from the beginning. You feel differently. That´s fine. The way I like it isn´t easy for new gamers. That´s true. But not everything should be. There should be a place in the market for newcomers and "veteran" gamers like me and Pristine20 and neither should be considered better or worst in terms of fun. I have fun playing my complex games and you have fun playing your Wii games. Great for both of us. |
Well, I have played videogames since I first got the Collecovision in the early 80s and that is one of the main reasons I find the more "Complicated" games boring ... How many times do I really have to do a tutorial where some "Scientist" puts me through some meanial test to see if I can crouch through a tunnel or jump over a log? "Now, climb up that ladder ..."
The fact of the matter is you can start playing many Wii games (even the complicated "Core" games) and are instantly put into the "Action" of the game, and it is enjoyable right at the start ...
