From their answers I will obviously know who's the liar and who isn't.

You could also go with the old "Would the other guy tell me you were the guy who always tells the truth."

The Lier would have to say Yes because the other guy would rat him out and say he was the liar.

While the guy who always tells the truth would have to say no because the guy who always lies, would say he was the guy who always lies.
