insomaniac are 1st party or maybe second party but it is not 3rd party game

Really? I always thought they were third party for some reason.
|
Insomniac ARE third party. They just happen to make all their games for Sony systems (and Sony publishes them). |
uhhh....Insomniac IS 2nd party.

Wikipedia define therefore Wikipedia is fact lol

No, Insomniac are third party devs BUT their games are Sony second party because Sony publish them.
@Griffin
Yeah...because less than 300 people is subjective to what the whole world wants, right?
Also, if Insomniac/Sony didn't sell the Spyro IP (I still hate them for that RIP Spyro...one of my favorite childhood games. *Sigh*) then I would say Spyro would be a really good mascot. I really think Spyro would be perfect for Sony, BUT they had to sell the IP >_> WHY SONY!??!?!?!!?

universal sold both the crash and spyro ips. Both insomniac and naughty dog used to call the universal studios backlot their home.
naughty dog when it was called Jam studio was signed (by universal) to a three title deal (ended up being the first three crash games). As is the industry norm the company that put up the money keeps the IP. They made a forth crash game and then sony bought them. The IP remained with universal.
insomniac was signed by universal. they made the first three spyro games and distruptor in that deal. when the deal ended universal got to keep the IP.
