Final Fantasy is a good example of why people don't view it in the same light as before. Ask anyone and their favorite one is generally VI or VII. Because square has sacraficed quality of games for quantity of sales. XII was generally not well received, and I expect the same for XIII. It'll sell well, but critically, people are not welcoming every new FF with open arms.
