Back to the OP ...
People are upset with Nintendo because they haven't found a good balance for the ammount of information they release about games and when they release this information.
Back in the day they released information about as soon as enough existed to make an impression; people immediately became hyped about upcomming games and it always seemed like Nintendo has a massive number of amazing games just on the horizon. Unfortunately, this caused problems because the amazing line-up never seemed to materialize and the game drought seemed worse than it was because people would hold off buying games that were available in order to wait for the "Great" games to be released.
Today Nintendo is holding onto information until games are practically released (see: Mario Kart Wii) and their core fanbase is getting frustrated because they don't know what is on the horizon; many of these gamers will compare the lists of upcomming games between the Wii and other systems, and because the Wii has no announced games past the end of the quarter it looks like a far worse line-up.
