i don't know about Sony, but i feel like i've had a bit of a kick in the teeth. and i'm not even a FF fan...!
it does sound underhand to me and it will be a serious blow to Sony's campaign in the US and one which will affect all PS3 owners, as the more consoles, the more likely to get tailored exclusive games.
i can see why MS wouldn't bother to buy rights to Japan, even if it was multiplat there, Japanese people would still buy the PS3 version - it's already more prolific there, and it suits their tastes more according to the games sales there.
