It's a "limitation" in the same way that the PS1 was a "limited" PS2, the PS2 was a "limited" PS3, and the PS3 will be viewed as a "limited" PS4 in about five years. All products evolve over time,  and any product that gets a revision or replacement later on (As in, all video game systems ever) implicitly admit that the previous products were limited. As such, it's a little difficult to criticize a groundbreaking product for not being groundbreakinger.
