I find it hard to recomend any LCD or Plasma HDTVs ...
By most measures a CRT HDTV is far superior to either LCD or Plasma at the same resolution but the gap gets smaller every day; in a short period of time most companies are planning on releasing organic crystal LCD screens which are supposed to rival the picture quality of a CRT and cost less to manufacture than a current LCD ...
Anyways, you should really decide whether you need a Plasma or LCD TV before you ask for recomendations; from my understanding (which is not exactly current) the Plasma usually have better image quality but perform poorly in bright rooms.
