Forums - Nintendo Discussion - How did you become a nintendo fan?

My aunt was a beast at Mario Bros on the NES. My dad offered me DKC 1,2,3 with the SNES and I enjoyed it so much!

I played the N64 at my friend's home with Super Mario 64. I wanted to borrow his console, but he didn't want. So my parents bought me one with DK64 (such a great game), Ocarina of Time and I bought Majora's Mask.

Never had a GC. I played Double Dash with my friend.

I got a Wii to play Mario Kart Wii because I loved a lot MKDD. I bought Twilight Princess, which is one of the best Zelda, Mario Galaxy (no comment, a masterpiece), Super Smash Bros, New Super Mario Bros Wii...

I got all the Gameboy versions with Super Mario Advance series, DKC remake and ALTTP.

In fact, I became a ferocious fanboy with the Wii. This is the console that made me love Nintendo with the Nintendo DS (of my brother :P)

I defend hardly the Wii and recommend it to all my parents, aunts, uncles...

I just miss Banjo n Kazooie series. Damn Microsoft.

I had been exposed to video games before, but via my friends who being male like me, were playing properly male games, Maddens and the like, shootan games, whatever. Up through age 9, i thought that video games were for losers. However, at that age, my cousin acquired an N64, and aside from Goldeneye, which reinforced my view, i was awakened to the concept of games by Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64, something that was eye-catching with its colors and magical worlds, i finally felt compelled to try it.

So basically, Nintendo's the reason i'm here period, that their games were able to catch my eye when others were driving me away.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I always spent my summers in the states at my grandma's beach house with my cousins.
One of them brought a NES (zelda) (mid 80ies it was new and I was 5) I liked all the games she had (zelda) and I asked for a NES (zelda) for christmass (zelda). I got it and was never the (zelda) same again.

Did I mention I loved the first zelda?

Super Mario Bros. 3 on the NES is what exposed me to how awesome Nintendo is. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past sealed the deal and made me a Nintendo fan for life.

N64 was the best. Super Mario 64 and Zelda got me totally hooked on Nintendo.

As a baby NES controllers were my teething toys.

I grew up with the N64. They had one at my cousins house and the first game I played for it was Super Mario 64. Nintendo's been my favorite company ever since then.

About 20 or so years ago I received a NES for Christmas. Best gift ever and I've been loyal to the N since.
