Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Have sega lost the plot?

Nsmb wii has just reach sales of 10m worldwide proving that wii owners love old school 2d games. So when sega announce project needle mouse I naturally thought sega have seen this big 2d pie and want in on the action. And who could blame them? I think allot of wii success is based on nostalgia and many older gamers reliving the 80’s & 90’s with their kids. But no! Sega been well sega seemed to have messed up once again and are releasing the game on Xbox and ps3. I know it hasn’t been officially announced yet and on what consoles it will be on so this rant could all be in vain, and I hope it is for sega’s sake. With the right marketing and if released on wii it could well be one of segas biggest games of all time!

Oh hang on I must apologise if you have just spent five minutes reading this, then I have just wasted your time because I forgot its sega and they will just screw up the game anyway and no one will buy it cuz it sucks

This will be a little off topic OP, and i already apologize for it, but:

No Shenmue 3 = yes, Sega has lost its way.

Now on topic: yes, i see our point.

ye your right shenmue in hd cant fail. but i just dont think sega has the money to produce a good hd shenmue so maybe them not makig it is a good thing

Sega could do the smart thing and release the a good game on all platforms, but I do agree with your last point the most.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

BTW, not that putting it on the HD systems would be bad, just that the Wii would be a good system to release it on.

My name is blubeard because rosie has a blue beard. Just not on her chest.

Yep, SEGA is not the kind of software house it was back in the DC era, i loved their first games in GCN (most DC ports), but right now i only see that company as a E.A. dressed as a samurai :S

Well I've never seemed to understand why it wasn't released on Wii as well but hey it is their choice to make. Might have even a fairly good reason. May even come to Wii eventually. Guess we'll see how it goes but I'll be buying the game regardless... love Sonic.

The OP was two small paragraphs and a big one. Either you are lying or trolling.
