The moment Sony came in and started dominating cause they had the $$$ for commercials and buying exclusives... I knew that videogame industry as I know it its over.

So hope Microsoft stays in the industry until there is another crash and all the major players fall...

Then out of the ashes, Atari, Nintendo and Sega may make consoles once more!

I would rather have SEGA and/or Apple provide the competition to Sony and Nintendo.

Please GOD no....

Imagine the PS3 without the Xbox

Still priced 600 bucks.
Still no good games.

Sony got the bloody nose they needed to stay in the game this gen. We will always need another powerhouse company able to slug it out toe to toe with the big S.

There is no difference between Sony and Microsoft in the videogame industry.

One makes software, other makes hardware...and using the money they made doing this they aquired game studios and control them for profits.

Both have other means of staying in busines...hence they don't "need" the gaming division...hence they are only here to get $$$ and make a profit.

Also, I'm sorry but Apple can suck it... Their "we know whats best for our customer" attitude has no place in the videogame industry.

Nah I don't think so.  Even when both the PS1 and PS2 were dominating the market with no competition in sight, Sony still dropped the prices of the consoles regularly as production costs went down and continued to pump out great games. 

No, Sony would be a fair and loving emperor if it became a monopoly...

Microsoft on the other hand.   yeesh!  *shivers*

Not the console or company itself, but I do want Natal to fail. I really don't want that to be the future of games. That would get awfully tiring really quick, and the lack of control precision frightens me.
