Though the all-time homerun leader, many people think he should not be in the hall of fame because of his Steroid use. Personally I think he should be in the hall of fame. At the time that he used steroids, they werent illegal so i think he didnt do any thing wrong except hurtin his own health.

How are later generations, who aren't allowed to use steroids, going to compete with him?

He used steroids so no.

If he only used them before they were banned, then yes he should be in the Hall of Fame. If he used them at any time after, then he should not be and all of his records ought to be ripped out of the record books. Personally I'll always put an asterisk next to achievements by players like him, McGwire, Clemens, etc.

No. It's a shame too because he truly was a great player before he started doing steroids, but he decided to put on about 50 pounds of muscle during one off season and the rest is history.
