Well actually I don't own a Wii, I have played it and I like it a lot, and I've always seen posts from people hating the console, that's not uncommon at all, but just lately there have been A LOT of Wii hate threads, more than the usual, so I made this thread asking what's going on?

I've owned a Wii since day one, and here's the thing...

Nintendo promised us everything. The Wii was a hype machine.

"Come one, come all!" "The Wii will change gaming forever!"

Nintendo showed us all these amazing games, that supposedly had some amazing controls.

Think of how fun Zelda would be with realistic controls! Imagine all the amazing things that can be done!!!!!!

But now, the hype has died down. Nintendo realizes this, and that's why they're finally bringing out some decent games.

The Wii's controls don't warrant droughts for months at a time. For all of their babble about gameplay, they couldn't even come out with a decent game.

And that is the truth about the Wii.

The newest one was fake... But iono what others you're talking about but who cares? Who cares if they don't like them? What matters is that YOU have fun with it, no? Just let them cry over it while YOU will be having fun while playing the fantastic thing the Wii is!

Of course what matter is if I have fun with it, I just wanted to know if there was a conspiracy hehehe

I am not sure what some people's problems are -- regarding the Wii.

Many a system Maybe it is because since no third party developer thought it would sell very well and thus there was not of titles between launch and Xmas II. And now we are getting a lot of shovelware as unprepared developers churn out titles trying to make a quick buck.

Maybe is focuses on a different type of gaming experience and some people cannot adjust to that. So if you are getting a console for sports or FPS, then the Wii experience is not really your experience.

Maybe some people cannot accept that a "low tech" machine is leading the market place. At least that is the way it appears from reading some websites (esp. UK sites, IMHO).

But just remember, many a system have less than stellar post-launch lulls.
