A... Naruto Half-Life mod.

I'd probably play that just to see what the hell it is.

I miss Alien Swarm from UT2004. That's the best co-op game ever, even more so than L4D.

The naruto mod looks absolutely phenomenal for a Half Life mod.
You won't even notice that it is half life since it looks way better than you could imagine.

I know vgchartz doesn't have a big PC gaming community but I thought some would appreciate seeing all the hard work that goes into some of the great mods that we get to enjoy. Shame others can't get in on the fun :)

star wars cod4 mod is awesome >.> anyone that wants to play a good FPS star wars game

Yeah the star wars cod4 mod is very well done.
The models of the guns and even the way they shoot is just fantastic.
The maps are amazing and MORE to come since they will support it for awhile.
They plan to add maps from all the major planets.
This is their first beta release so its only going to get better :)

I might try out the Naruto one..

The Naruto one looks phenomenal for two reasons:
1. The quality and accuracy of the textures, models, animations and jutsus really are amazing. Since its all in the Half Life engine, any semi current pc or laptop will be able to play this just fine.

2. Its in the Naruto universe and isn't just your standard 1 on 1 fighter. This is an online multiplayer mod so team tactics and luring the enemy into traps is needed to beat tougher opponents. If you read up on the fighting system, it is pretty well thought out with many options for different styles and tactics.

Of course this is just the first beta release as well so that means it will only get better.
They plan on adding more characters and maps as they finish and balance them properly.

Oh sh*t, I played that a long time ago :)
I didn't even realize it was a UT2004 mod and the name sounded familiar but once I saw it I was like oh yeah!
Your right that was a really great game and they haven't officially canceled AS:I but the forums are rather bare. Seems people still play Alien Swarm on occasion though.

yeah that is one of my problems, I play way way too many games so its hard for me to keep tabs of them all especially when most of the better ones are indie and mod titles. Gotta love the modding/indie scene where true innovation and creativity rule and passionate gamers create games based on FUN and not profits.

- GoldenEye Source (another popular mod that is getting a big update soon but is worth checking out before the update if you like goldeneye since its a very well done multiplayer bond mod )
