I know, i know. But i always play my PS3 on the couch looking at a 100+ inch projector screen. So a steering wheel really isn't a option for me. By the way does GT5 still support most PC steering wheels aswell? Remember GT3 and GT4 on PS2 supporting my PC Force Feedback wheel just fine, including force feedback.
I wasnt doing a 90´turn I wasnt turning in 40mph I wasnt in the middle of the race trying to turn a corner I wasnt full speed slaming the breaks going into a corner ..etc
I was 10 seconds into the start of the race.. trying to line myself up to the right side of the track. And the hollywood screeching started and i deleted the demo.
@ you
You went around a 90 degree turn if it's the first turn in the time trial
You were probably going over 40 mph around that turn
You don't start the race from a standstill, so how were you not in the middle of a race?
... etc
Observe how fast you were really going at the beginning of the trial, as well as how tight the first turn is:

To be honest after playing multiple racing games with a 360 controller the PS3 one really kind of sucks for racing games. For one the buttons are pressure sensitive, so you really have to keep on pushing to be sure u are going flat out. I remember the same problem with the PS2 games of Gran Turismo and ending up using an old PS1 dual shock controller without pressure sensitive buttons. Besides that, using the analog stick for acceleration is really uncomfortable after 2 or more laps, and the R buttons are to slippery to use aswell.
The X360's shoulder buttons really resemble a gas/brake pedal way better, and offer way more accuracy for dosing your gas. Really wish PS3 hade a controller like that for racing.
If you can spend $20 on a rechargeable battery for your 360's controller (I know you have, you know you have), you can spend $5 on trigger clip-ons for your PS3's controller.
Currently playing: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, NBA2k11, Metal Gear Solid, Picross 3d
Oh wow that sounded just like GT5 demo as well as how it slid, the physics do seem a lot better.
I was like the guy who started this fourm at first. I was really mad i couldn't even drive and thought i spun at low speeds. But actually i was wrong. I tried it again, and i was still bad at it. But i also heard they put you on a high difficulty for the driving so the final product I'll be able to change it. Though i decided to drive at 40 mph around the track and no i never spun my car and it never made the tire noises. When i went up to 50 it started to make the noises but didn't spin out badly but turning became harder. So i do think it is very realistic than my first drive through. I just don't think this guy gave it a chance.
