I had a few problems with it but nothing major. I had a slightly tougher time with Lakebed Temple (Twilight Princess) and I thought Great Bay Temple (Majora's Mask) was more fun thanks to fire/ice arrow usage.

The Forest Temple in OoT was the one that had me stuck.  I was stuck in there for three days because I didn't "pay attention to what the Action icon says!".

Lol, me too, but my problem was that I hadn't been using Z-targeting up until then. I kept dying fighting the enemies in that temple, because they were much tougher than anything up until that point in the game. I actually went so far as to go and get the Biggoron Sword just to beat the Stalfos in the Forest Temple, 'cos I figured it'd be a much more powerful weapon than the Master Sword... If only I'd just been using Z-targeting all along... I wouldn't have died like 10 times in the Deku Tree alone. XD

looooool!!!  Z-Targeting is as crucial as it is awesome!

My problem was that, like I said, I didn't pay attention to the Action Icon on the top right corner of the screen.  I was stuck in the Forest Temple basement for THREE DAYS.  I had no idea what to do!  In the meantime, I did the Gerudo Fortress and completed the sidequest to get Epona.  On my third day of visiting the dungeon, after tinkering around the basement and being totally clueless.  I looked up and saw the 'A' button icon "flip".  I walked back up to the pertruding wall and saw the it flip again and say "Push".  I was like "get the fuck outta here!!!!"  That was all I had to do!   I was down there for THREE DAYS.

THREE DAYS!!!!

Isn't paying attention to the action icon like the first instruction that Navi gives you in the Deku Tree?

@ Khuutra:

Yes.

I don't remember it being too hard, just really long.

@kenology

lol

Interesting results so far. I'm sort of surprised at how many people clicked the last option. I figured we might get 1-2 in here. The only reason I added it was because my neighbor couldn't get through one of the temples in A Link to the Past with a guide, and it wasn't because of the badguys. There was a hole he had to drop through and for whatever reason he couldn't ever drop down the right one...

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I may never finish that game bacause of the water temple. Now that I read several posts, it maybe wasn't difficult but boring. Challenging but not in a fun way.

It was boring and tedious for the most parts, so I think that's why people may consider it hard. It wasn't hard at all.

But that game was so great that it gave you the motivation to go through it just to find out what was coming up next. I remember entering that seemingly endless room where you fight dark link, very special moment.

Fullfilled Prophecies

Dark Link broke on me and wouldn't move.

I used to have trouble on the temple when I was really young, but nowadays I can get through it with hardly any problems. The thing is you just have to keep your eyes open for anything you might have missed, and you'll get through it fine.
