I'm sorry but when i hear the term "Musical giant"... I dont think of shallow acts like this that will have a year, maybe 2 in the limelight... they are current, they arent timeless. Disposable.

You are so way off in that description its not even funny.

We will see when shes selling out arenas. :)

she may well sell out an arena in 2010.... come back in 2012 and tell me how she is doing.

With the production masterminds of Dr Luke and Max Martin producing her music I'm sure she will be around for years.

Ok that guy was right, you ARE getting paid to say this ...

Seece, props for having great musical tastes.

To settle that "talent" argument: Imogen Heap was brought in to argue talent. I don't care if you "think she's bad"; Imogen Heap is 100 times more talented than Kesha or Taylor Swift. Consider: Imogen writes, plays, produces, records, mixes, ALL of her own stuff. Everything. Completely solo effort.

Taylor's songs are probably written/co-written for her, instrumentation is from studio musicians and over-produced, etc, etc. She's a good singer with a pretty face. They're a dime a dozen; there's a new one in the spotlight every six monthes.

Sales =/= talent. It's incredibly frustrating that you keep on saying that. I mean, Soulja Boy has the 6th (or something) best selling digital single of THE DECADE with 'Crank Dat'. Soulja Boy is literally the most talentless fuck to ever achieve mainstream penetration.

It's reciprocal, too. Talent =/=sales

I said you were probably being paid in my first post, because your shameless plugging is absurd.

It's Ke$ha and Taylor Swift does all of that too! Nice try. =) Taylor is the queen of music.

NO.. Look into what you are saying.. Taylor writes all her music, plays her instruments and co producers her music.

Soulja boy... thats another story.. he is horrible

You are 21? I'm flabbergasted.

Cause I listen to music thats for my age? I don't know anyone under 35 that listens to music older than the 80's.

That says more about the people you know than anything else.

So nobody you know has ever listend to The Beatles, Led Zeppelin or The Sex Pistols for instance? You know.... the 3 biggest influencers of their respective generations.

People listen to them if its on I guess... but nobody ever says HEY GUYS LETS LISTEN TO THE BEATLES!!!!

Yeah, I don't really give a fuck about Saving Jane or whatever their name is. My point is that's basically the exact same song, just rewritten.
