360 has 'good' Games, but they're Multiplat. *waits for Alan Wake*

when did this happen in america in the past? At PS3's launchweeks? Anyway, great job, even if there weren't any secondary Pricedrops.

Hmm, to my understanding from reading threads, one got quite a lot of free games(4-6?) which were of the newest and best(mass market) the 360 has to offer.

The PS3 on the other hand seemed to have few(based on the BF preview threads) bundle deals with few games(in comparison) which had gotten the "meh" reception by critics.

BF pretty much looked like a done deal and I bet that you were caught by surprise too or else you would have made the prediction.

it can't have cost that much,  mean yes the graphics were better than uncharted 1, but it was the same engine

Uncharted 2 will end up making more profit than EVERY PS3 1st party exclusive BARRING LBP

The engine isn't the expensive part of a game though.

You said "excuses, excuses" because you felt I was attacking the PS3 and that's clear as day. I'm just pointing out they did a much better job bundling the PS3 than the 360.

Also I did not see AC2 or L4D2 bundled. I saw the ads in the paper and I do read gaming news websites. So if those bundles were out there they must have been limited to certain locations. I do know those game were discounted, which I'm sure played a role in the 360 having superior software sales.

Truth is the 360 bundles were mostly lame (there might have been a few out there that had a good game). But every PS3 bundle had high quality games.

I know, this looks a bit funny (the whole Wii thing), but really. When you're talking about the HD twins' sales, screw the Wii sales. They are selling consoles to a whole other segment. There's no point in comparing the Wii against the HD consoles. The Wii sells to gamers, a lot of women, old people, young people, etc etc. The HD Twins are more for gamers ONLY (not only, but kinda only)...

That's why, in my opinion, Wii sales are not important when talking HD consoles numbers.

I play my xbox way more then wii but you can't deny the wii machine.

360 fan butt hurt over PS3 winning NA on BF. So he instead decides to jump on the Wii even though he hasn't even listed ANY games he owns for it.

Wow, just how long is this thread, ha ha

Really not surprised that PS3 outsold X360, but surprising is by how much, 75k gap is a really big thing.

It looks like there is no chance for L4D2 to hit 500k the second week. Wonder how UN2, ODST, Forza 3 performed too.

The first time the PS3 manages to outsell the 360 in NA in BF week and probably the biggest HW week for the PS3 since it's release (previous best week: 610k - x-mas week '07), although we all know this record will easily be topped by some of the coming December weeks, gratz.
