I don't expect anyone to agree with me at first (except maybe selnor edit: and starcraft). That's the whole point. That way, when it actually happens everyone will say "omg, OkeyDokey was right. lol, look at the posts on the first page calling him a nutcase" and we'll all have a good laugh.

I actually think it could happen, FYI. For these reasons:

-Early reception is overwhelmingly positive
-3rd party support will be strong
-It will be bundled
-Hype will be massive following the E3 2010 blowout. It will get a ton of awards and mainstream media coverage
-Microsoft will put all their weight behind possibly the biggest videogame related marketing push in history. Will be marketed towards families and casuals

This should be fun.

I'll make a list of supporters so that in the highly unlikely circumstance that I turn out to be wrong, I won't have to be alone in my shame :P

-Early reception will be moderated, anyway early reception doesn't mean a long term success.

-3rd party support is low, only some casual horrible games that already exist in Wii.

-But it's more expensive than Wii.

-Now, you are dreaming.

-I don't think Microsoft will support that much that peripheral, because they already know that this will not be a success. They don't want to lose money with this.

if the so called prediction of okey dokey happens and the 360 becomes 1st every year just because of kinect, then ms will make a console for the casuals. think about the money. why should they waste their time being 2nd when they could be first.

Do you know how much XBL makes in revenue/profit a year? it's now well into the billions. I don't see Nintendo abandoning their hardcore do you?

There will always be a controller and there will always be core games, regardless of how Kinect does.

I was fully behind Kinect when everyone was speculating about the price, many people and i were hoping Kinect was an affordable price but i guess not so much.

 

Kinect being $150 just shows me how greedy MS is, and that Kinect probably wont out sell MOVE, definatly not Wii.

did you notice that i said kinect only? so if for the next 4 years the only games coming out were for kinect, that means no fable no halo, no gears, no rage, assassins creed, no cod, no madden, no rage, a fallout, no mass effect, and kinect ALONE pushes the 360 to the top, then ofcourse next gen they will release a casual console. 

if the 360 makes more money then the wii then they shoudnt, but it doesnt.
