about the hype on Natal :

people have to realize it is REALLY far from the casual crowd right now
but, to defend Natal, we are also far from the release date meaning it is expected that NO one outside game/tech lovers know it ...

I pretty much agree with this.  I'm bullish on Natal largely off Microsoft's track record, they've really become masters at dealing with and manipulating the industry media.  I don't think it'll come close to Wii, but it'll probably help Microsoft regain their position post-slim.

to precise a bit my past post :

I DO THINK Natal may reach the mainstream media because MS are pro when it comes to marketing.

But, right now, Natal is NOTHING ...

Time to Work !

i seriously dont give a shit about it. If they are successful im not the one making money from it. If its a flop im not the one lossing money because of it.

Fuck

While NATAL sounds a lil more appealing than the wand, I hope they both fail because I plan to play video games till I die and I don't wana jump around my living room or wave my dildo wand around when I'm 120 yrs old.

Well sure, but Natal's still a year away.  Mainstream Wii hype and coverage really only started about six months pre-launch, at E3.

PS3 sphere... is that what its called now? and no... it isnt. Natal will be far and away more successful than the wand.

from some inside french rumor the final name is not determined and it is now called "ARC" (dont ask me why)

also, I believe, like you, Natal has more sales potential than the Wand (sphere/arc)

What is everyone basing their love for Natal on? The only thing I've seen of Natal is that stupid ball ricochet game that makes anyone who plays it look like they're having a seisure and Milo which wasn't even playable. Is there something else on Natal that I've missed or is it all based on hype and word of mouth?

I have seen like three posts of "love" in this thread. I want to know where all the hate is coming from

Based on what, MSs legendary history of succesful casual games ?

Sonys waggle has the benefit of being alot like Wiis, people will adopt it much easier then natal.  Hell my gf wants it cause its like wii and iam probably gonna get stuck buying that wagglla.  But better buying that then a wii.

You probably will see PS3/Wii games form 3rd partys, with PS3 far far superior graphics setting them apart.  Less risk making a Wii/PS3 game then making a 360 only casual game.

Some common sense dude Natal has simple logistics going agianst it, has MS tiny 1st party comapred to Sonys huge.

If its flawless ill be impressed other than that I see Natal as a party game gimmick machine and microsoft's excuse to make a Wii Fit 360 to cash in.

If what you say is true about the wand being like the wii wand then I don't think NATAL will be helping the box much.
