Forums - Gaming Discussion - Capcom possibly redeaming themselves? I hope so.

“Also in the news section is a tiny interview regarding the recent platform switch for Monster Hunter 3 from the PS3 to the Wii. Asked if it was possible that the Monster Hunter series would still come to the PS3, Capcom’s publicity department said that Capcom has a multiplatform strategy, so they cannot deny the possibility. Asked if numbered versions of the game could appear on the PSP, the response was that the PSP portable series has an important position within the company. Finally, Famitsu pointed out that some people may have purchased a PS3 once Monster Hunter 3 was announced last year. This drew a big apology from the Capcom reps, who said that PS3 owners should wait for further announcements in the series.

It doesn't have to be Monster Hunter 3 but I WANT A MONSTER HUNTER GAME on the PS3 CAPCOM. It will help me get over my bitter pill with you and how you lied to us Sony fans... AGAIN.

PLEASE CAPCOM!!!!!

At least they apologized for lying. I feel better about that.

Well, many people will be disappointed at the thought that they can't use a game they'll never play to spite a console they don't like, but I think this is a good thing.

Even if the series does come to PS3, it's not terribly likely to see release outside of Japan.

Hates Nomura.

Damn, I was an hour late. I just posted this in the Sony forums.

i don't see what all the fuzz is about, why is this game important? to me it seems like just another jap game i will never see in europe anyway.

Because it sells an easy million in Japan.

Don't be spiteful.

Why don't the PS3 owners just sell their PS3's and buy a Wii if it's so important to them? (to the one's who bought a PS3 for this game)

Chances are 80% of PS3 owners own a Wii in Japan anyway (Stab in the dark but likely on the money)

Moster Hunter has evolved into a pretty powerful franchise in Japan, and overall, it's an excellent albeit incredibly hard game.

this is exactly what you get for buying a system for "potential". If you purchase a system for one particular game that isn't out yet then don't be too surprised if you get burned when that game doesn't get released. Of course you may factor in potential as a reason to purchase, but don't depend on it.

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!
