Hello everyone!

I recently bought a 360, and so far I've loved every minute of it, its a great system and it looks awesome on my HD display.

I bought tekken 6 yesterday since i am a long time tekken fan, and oh!, the grief, i realized the 360 d-pad sucks...

it's really hard to pull some moves because the d pad is just not accurate enough, i prefer playing tekken Dark ressurection on my psp for the time bieng... which is just sad

I looked into it and there are several mods and hacks to fix the d-pad. So this is my question, anyone tried one of these? i don't feel like ruining my controller... if anyone did, any advice? which mod did you use?

As for me, I don't play fighting games so this only bothers me in gears when I pull out a freaking smoke 'nade, when I'm trying to pull out shotty. ...

I haven't tried any of these but they seem simple enough. I would probably just do the one where you sand off around the edges. I don't know about adding that piece of plastic to make it raise higher up.

If you decide to do this tell keep us all informed. I may even try this this weekend.

I WILL try something, i simply cannot play tekken with the controller the way it is, i'm just looking for the best solution... thanks TRios_Zen that looks easy enough, i might try that before sanding and see if it works

I would also try the washer idea. That looks very easy to do and lots of places carry those type of washers.

I've been wanting to try the one where you sand paper the area around the D-Pad since it looks simple, I've just never gotten around to getting the sand paper.

Anyone else who actually tried this? otherwise i'll just go ahead with it and keep you posted

Ok, if anyone is interested, I followed the guide on instructables.. and it works like a charm.. LIKE A CHARM!! i can play tekken now, it's still not as good as a DS3's D-Pad, but this puts the 360 controller ahead of the DS3 overall for me...

Yes, the d-pad on the 360 sucks. But true fighting fan aficionados have fighting sticks. So if you want to play other good fighters on the 360 I would suggest getting one.
