It's funny everyone is attacking this guy, he worked for Valve, I think I would hold some credit to his words. Valve does seem like a group who thinks only their games define an industry.

Oh and he must be a sony fanboy i mean he works for So...

He gets payed by Son...

he, uh I'm not sure...

Not that I'm saying this he's a Sony fanboy, but since when does "Fanboy" have a pre-requisite of getting your pockets lined?

It seems like Valve has had more success on the 360 than any other console. We also know its more expensive to develop for the PS3 and shooters tend to sell less.

I think it makes perfect sense why Valve would side with the 360. And for the record Borderlands first week sales were terrible. That hardly encourages Valve to support the PS3.

I was talking about when someone works for sony and says something good about the PS3, they get payed.

People need to stop worrying about what Valve does; they are doing fine and they do not need to answer to any of these critics, fanboys, etc... If Valve does not want to develop for the PS3, it is their right. They are doing fine with their PC/Xbox 360 games and it works for them.

The PS3 has plenty of games for everyone, and it does not need every game to be on the system. If these people want to play Valve games, they just need to pick it up for the PC or the 360.

Lets see... Gearbox has ported Halo to PC, ported some Valve stuff, made Band of Brothers series (which was really good while still under Gearbox's control), now has Borderlands out (which is awesome)...

Valve... did some cool games eons ago (let's call them "DOOM remakes" because yeah, that's what they were), and published a cool game that they didn't create (Portal), and recently made a game for the X360 and PC (L4D), that they repackaged with some new level and character content and slapped a "2" on the end of the name.

Gearbox just released a fricking awesome game on both X360 and PS3, and Valve... made a pretty good MP game on "two" platforms largely touted as being "easy" to co-develop for, then made a content sequel (i.e. a full-priced map pack) that fans were in an uproar over, after having purchased basically the same game last holiday.

I'm thinking the Gearbox guy knows his hardware a LOT better than the Valve guys do, these days, especially given all the great PS3 games we see these days.

You guys treat Valve like they're the Beatles or something... or like they were Blizzard, or Naughty Dog, or Elvis. When really, they're more like the Big Bopper -- made a little something great eons ago, then died in a plane crash and came back to life as businessmen posing as game developers.

Ignorance is bliss......

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

Valve can do whatever the heck they want from a business perspective. But when you feel you need to go around bagging another system as justification for your business decision that really is uncalled for, immature and is legitimately open for criticism.

I don't have a problem with Valve for not developing for PS3. But I do have a problem with their PR approach to the issue, their PR is as bad as the PR people like to slam Sony for around the launch of the PS3.

Valve should just stfu about PS3 and get on with making games.

Valve is LAZY no doubt, but I got The Orange Box & Left 4 Dead 1/2 on my 360, so I'm happy.

PREDICTIONS:
(Predicted on 5/31/11) END of 2011 Sales - Xbox 360 = 62M;  PS3 = 59M;  Wii = 97M

Did this guy say visuals over performance? So he prefers the PS3 OB over the 360 one because he thinks it has nicer colours? Weird....

Also his conspiracy falls flat under even basic scrutiny. But bottom line I guess is that Valve's lack of support for the PS3 sucks.
