Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Anyone else buying the Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 bundle?

So you traded 7 games plus some accessories and like $50 for 190GB bigger HDD, MW2 and a nice trim? Sounds retarded to me. Should had invested those games and accessories (and kept your console) into buying something new like a PS3 instead (if you don't have one already).

Traded in games plus accessories for:

-250 Gig MW2 Xbox 360 Elite

-2 Wireless controllers

-A copy of Modern Warfare 2

-Headset

I would say he made out fine.

trollCount += 1;

System.out.println(trollCount);

Output:  2

OT:  I think it is an amazing deal.  If I wasn't so tight on money this holiday season I would exchange all my current hardware for that new bundle.  Except I'd sell the 2 included black controllers (don't need any more and would get more money by selling the new ones) and headset along with my current 360 with 120GB HDD and I'd probably make up a good portion of the cost with barely taking much of a hit.

He traded games, accesories, money and his old console for that which makes my point. 190gb bigger drive and 1 game vs 7 games, accesories and $50.

Still cheaper than buying a PS3 after trading in just the 7 games. ($350 PS3 with 250GB, just one controller, and NO game included)

Let me clarify for people that can't read very well and those you try to say this is not a good deal.

I used $55 in FREE gift cards to Best Buy to purchase 3 games using the buy 2 get 1 free deal (2 left 4 Dead, 1 GTA 4).

I received a FREE copy of Halo 3: ODST at the Best Buy midnight launch of the game from a drawing.

I traded in those 4 FREE games plus Halo 3, Batman: AA, and my original Left 4 Dead to Gamestop and received a whopping $185 in trade in credit using the tiered trade in deal going on where you receive 40% extra credit for 6 games or more and 10% more for using the Edge card for a total of 50% extra trade in credit.

Original cost I paid for all 7 games = $185 + tax, trade in credit received = $185, loss = only tax.

I used a FREE $50 gift card on top of the $185 to have a total of $235 basically free credit toward the $400 purchase.

The other $165 will be covered by trading in my existing 60 GB unit with all the white accessories for it.

Total money I spend = $0, all I lose is 3 games that I don't play anymore.

I gain 190 GB HDD space, CoD: MW2, custom paint job, all new black accessories including 2 wireless controllers, and a new 3 year RROD and E74 warranty for 3 games I don't play anymore.

You can't get a better deal than that, period...

"If you don't like me, bite me!"

I plan to, just hope it's still in stock when I have the money!

Just because you got the games for free it doesn't really change the fact that you traded 7 games plus accesories for 190GB and 1 game... Might be a good deal in your eyes since you not really losing money on it, but that stuff is worth 3 times as much as what you get for it.

Good these trolls are getting tiresome.  I'm going to get some decent games on the 3-2 trade at BB to do the same thing.  Why not...50% more credit is a crazy deal to pass up, and it all goes towards a good cause...my new 360!
