People want a ps3 but dont have the money and with christmas coming = people getting money or a ps3 for christmas. My opinion is that the ps3 will either be very close to selling the same as the xbox 360 or more but after christmas i see the ps3 selling more than the xbox 360.

Well, why not I'll try to give you a legit reply. I disagree that the Halo 3 effect won't last long. After playing many, many social games I think I've seen hundreds of guests (and I'm just one person) playing Halo 3 split screen style. Thats a powerful thing assuming they are enjoying themselves. What better time to ask loved ones for 360 and halo 3 than this Holiday season? People want blueray players? Well, I am sure a lot of people do but how many gamers coming over to this gen this holiday season have hdtvs? A small percentage~ As to Uncharted having awesome graphics. They do look decent but they don't seem any more impressive than what the 360 can produce.

Christmas 2007:

Wii will trump the 360. 360 will trump the PS2. PS2 will trump the PS3. And DS will trump everything.


I'd love to see some of these posts resurrected in the betting thread. I'm sure there would be more than a few takers.

i tend to think ps3 will sell better than expectations, because people underestimate brand name recognition during holidays, but 360 should still beat it.

I'm might be one of those guests. I play Halo3 with a friend in split screen but have no intention to buy a 360 or Halo. Halo is not that good, I only play because he is freaking addicted to that crap and when I'm over there I get bored watching him play.
