Forums - Microsoft Discussion - I am quite dissapointed this year.

The problem is that MS was so small in last gen so they have to rely on multiplatforms, while the big giant Sony has a huge development house which churns out lots of exclusives.

Maybe things will be more equal in next gen.

LEFT4DEAD 2 OMG HOW COULD YOU FORGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That game is gonna be amazing, im talkign AAA Metacritic.

@yo_john117

I agree with you.

I have a 360 and a PS3 and this year I just buy and play PS3 exclusive games and in my pre orders list I just have PS3 exclusive games.

For example, my next purchase will be the outstanding UNCHARTED 2, and after being a beta tester I'm sure that this BRILLIANT game will be the GOTY 2009.

Uncharted & The Last of Us

(Definitely, best games of last Gen)

During 2008 and the beginning of this year I though that this year was gonna be the second best year for games.

The 360 exclusives that did come out were supposed to be very good, but most disappointed me in some way.

There's still hope for the rest of the year though since I'm still looking forward too F3, Borderlands, and Assassins Creed 2, but overall this has been one hell of a disappointing year!

To me you seem to be both very hard to please or you wait anixously for a game so that when you get it, it lets you down because it wasnt worth the wait. Or maybe Im just easy to please as most of the games you said you were disappointed by I couldnt find a fault with.

Also, surprised you havent mentioned Episodes from Liberty City/The Ballad of Gay Tony. I doubt you'll be disappointed by that

Yeah i'm pretty picky when it comes to games.  I like epic single player games mostly since the only online game I deem worthy of playing is Halo 3 (which I spend the majority of my gaming time on)

And I don't Have GTA4 anymore so I could care less about the expansions.

@Garnett--I don't like L4D

wow...I completely disagree with the OP.

I loved Ninja Blade, Shadow complex is amazing and reviews show it, Halo Wars is a one of a kind experience on a console, ODST is the second best Halo single player campaign and one hell of a game...and we still have Forza 3, GTA Liberty Stories and LEft 4 Dead 2 as far as exclusives.

If you consider multi plats and 3rd party games...360 had one hell of a year.

And look at most of you...saying 360 is in trouble for exclusives compared to ps3. Thats hillarious considering 360 had superior lineups in 2006, 2007 and 2008...and by the looks of things 2010 will be a software spanking again considering 360 is getting Crackdown 2, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Halo Reach, Fable 3, Splinter Cell Conviction. All of which are going to be AAA or close to it...

PS3 had soe high end exclusives that took many years to develop coming out in 2009, and all of a sudden MS is in trouble? Give me a break...

^^2010 is gonna be so amazing!  Easily the best year for gaming ever imo.

Not too bad a year for me. I have been working a lot lately so not really much time for gaming anyway. Definitely looking to sink some hours into F3 and MW2. I was looking forward to Splinter Cell, but that got pushed back. L4D2 will be a renter for me.

Well ... I agree that this year MGS is behind Sony, but to say that there are no games for 360 in 2009 is just funny.

I didn't find time and money to play even half from mine 2009 wish list:
Resident Evil 5, Red Faction, Dirt 2, Batman, Street Fighter 4, Grand Theft Auto IV : L&D, Halo 3 ODST, Halo Wars, UFC 2009 Undisputed, Prototype, FEAR 2: Project Origin, Forza Motorsport 3, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, Shadow Complex, Battlefield 1943, Fallout 3 : DLCs, FIFA 10, Fight Night Round 4, IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey, Need for Speed SHIFT, Splosion Man, Trials HD, Overlord 2 and many more.

and there are more comming:
Brutal Legend, CoD: Modern Warfar 2, Borderlands, Dragon Age: Origins, Assassin's Creed 2, Grand Theft Auto IV : The Ballad of Gay Tony, Left 4 Dead 2

In my opinion MS needs to start beefing up their first party instead of these goofy deals for DLC and map packs.

They did a good job getting all those "exclusive" 3rd party games from the PS2 era to go multiplat but now they need to invest their energy on first party.

This year hasn't had much games I wanted so instead of whining about it, I took it in a good way, as an opportunity to play older games I never played before and fully enjoy them. Like that, next year I'll be ready for the new stuff!
