Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony does another first.

It is the first company that put the Canadian price of their console equal to the American price.

Good for them?

Stof is going to buy a PS3 just because of this.

Well, the Canadian dollar is stronger than the American dollar now. (it wasn't earlier)

Sony isn't screwing the Canadians as bad as they were.

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

why buy now when the rumble pack is coming early next year?
They currently deny any pack-in, but they will have at least 1 SKU of their ps3 that carry rumble controllers.

YAY!!!!!!!!!111111111111!!!ONE woo hooooo /sarcasm

I wonder how many other goods and services have dropped in price recently in Canada due to the lowering value of the USD?

Its about time that the prices of goods started to drop in Canada, i was watching the news the other day and some of the newer model cars are dropping by 8k-15k dollars. But still many mid range SUV's are still 15k more up here, 38k in the US to 53k in Canada.

ssj12: Right. So, if the Canadian Dollar was worth more and could purchase, by itself, more imported American goods, could retailers lower their price to consumers? Shake your head up and down, unless you're in some weird country that has it reversed (Or a normal country that has it reversed). Now, if they will is a different story.

I recall briefly hearing that Canadian Car Dealerships were selling 10k Above expected after importing and conversion, I hope they get in a shitstorm for that one, let alone with the dollar being at parity.
