Agreed. The lack of content is outrageous. If it was released as a budget title it might have been worth the money, but the lack of maps, weapons, and enemy variety made the game extremely tedious after a couple of hours.

It didn't help that Valve bragged it would be "different every time" when the only things that change are the number of zombies and their spawn points.

Frankly, I got a lot more enjoyment out of the Nazi Zombies mode in CoD:WaW. At least there was a genuine sense of peril in that game.

@ Selnor - Yeah Fun goes a long way, i agree. But in this case it was only fun for a few hours until the game lost that fresh experience and you started to noticed that all the things i mentioned before was missing.

only a moron would buy this for the xbox when the pc version is superior in every way. not to mention that steam/valve occasionaly offer the game at a reduced price. (not so much lately but still)

I disagree. L4D without any DLC is worth Full price more than almost all other games this gen purely based on fun factor.


selnor...you know as well as i do, inverted3reality always has pointless/misleading/negative comments to say regarding anything Xbox360/Microsoft. If Left 4 Dead had been a PS3 exclusive, it'd be the best thing since sliced bread to him...but it's not, so it's labelled a, "rip off".

i have a question about maps. Doesnt Counterstrike have like a ziljon different maps? Yet you find a million servers running "de_dust1/de_dust2 24/7" or "cs_Italy only!!111" or whatver the other popular maps are called? I'm sure the same can be said for Gears of War 2 or even Halo 3, where there are maps that are so popular the they get played 24/7

@ cr00mz - Yeah its true. Same way with Cod2 and Cod4. They have alot of maps but there's only 3-5 that gets playtime.

my computer is almost 7 years old and i can play l4d on everything minimum and i get between 12-35 fps, its a bit hard to play but i've gotten used to it. And i have a hard time beliving anyone has a computer that old nowadays. i bet some of the cheaper computers today can even play it better than i can
