It is a user generated content game. It won't sell well at all.
Nintendo's whole problem with slowing Wii sales is due to Wii Music embracing it. Wii Music (and Animal Crossing, but that's a story for another day) was suppose to continue the Wii momentum like Wii Fit and Mario Kart did. It, however, didn't. It did well compaired to many other games but it did not boost Wii hardware. Other user generated games also flooped (Warioware: DIY being another one).
If this is a UGC game, expect poor results.

PS3 is not only FF 13 and gran turismo 5. What about GOW 3, uncharted 2, killzone 3, the last guardian, heavy rain, ratchet and clank, little big planet 2, resistance 3. Ok, some of these won´t sell several millions, but there´s life to PS3 beyond the price cut and those 2 games. Don´t you think in Europe Sony will begin to lead week after week against 360 ? All Europe is waiting for the drop price for ages. And in japan do you really believe that 360 will ever reach 2 million ? Let´s see how many consoles and games MS will sell from now. In USA it´s a different story, PS3 will probably never come close to 360 lifetime, but will be at least number 2 many weeks a year. And i´m not that sure the Wii is so strong as many say. Now is the time to all or nothing to Sony, they have a good price, the best home console, ( finally) good marketing, the best exclusives in quality and in quantity, the arrogance is past, things could come much better to PS3 from now. Let´s wait and see....

No, only GT5 and FF13 can make a strong move in hardware. Here is why the others won't
Sopny can't beat Microsoft as the ground is too much to cover. It's possible, but not probably. No matter what, Microsoft has the ball in their court. Microsoft is not worrid about profits, and since they have the learibn price and sales, they can easily counter Sony's moves. Even after the dust settles, Microsoft will out sell the PS3 week after week. This is what happened with the last price cut.
Also, the Wii hs been starved for system seller. It's not even a question that PS3 can outsellk the Wii. It flat out can't. If NSMBWii takes off, it will never be able to catch up. The gap is still too big as well.
The system sould have done this well with this price cut or the system would have truely been a failure. The system is now 50% cheaper. But remember that price cuts are a sign or illness, not health. Healthy systems stay at their original price point for a long time as they are profitable there. Also, show a system with this mich of a price reduction from it's launch price and still come out on top?

Learn yourself something. sequels usually get lower sales when launched on the same platform. GoW 3 will be the first of the system. You also have no trends to go off of. You have 1 game. That isn't a trend. and with a blu-ray relaunch this year sales can only go up. And no. 360 didn't beat Ps3 week after week last price cut. Ps3 won like 40 consecutive weeks and won '07 holiday even with 360's biggest game getting launched that time. It took 360 a massive price cut to start outselling the Ps3.
You guys who calculate how long it will take to outsell the 360 have one huge flaw. Yeah, if it outsold the 360 by 50k a week it would take 3 years... but you guys don't calculate the sales fluctuation. You guys saying that would be like me saying "With these Ps3 sales the Ps3 will outsell the 360 by years end" It's flawed. 360 is not out of reach.
I guess the Ps2 is and always have been a sick and dying console. I mean... it received numerous price cuts in it's lifetime... oh wait... its the best selling system of all time.
Uncharted was a system seller. How else do you explain the Ps3 outselling the 360 in '07 holiday? It was Halo 3 vs Uncharted... and the Ps3 won... weird.

God of War 3 has sold less with each game. If the treand is downward, what makes you think it will magically turn in the opposite dirrection? there is nothing to suggest such, especially considering GoW didn't muster great sales despite the install base of the PS2. How is it going to push hardware when it will probably do worse then previous versions?
I won't go much into price cuts because there is no reference dtatbase unless I look really hard (and I don't have that kind of time). 360 has never had a major price cut. The PS3 has since it's price has been so high.
There is no trend. That's the point. Sales of ONE game is not a trend.
