Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Samurai Warriors 3: Presentation and info

Don't care what kind of game it is. The mention of ninja's and samurai is enough to get me excited for WM+ support.

Was hoping that Miyamoto was there for this reason actually.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

The numbers look good actually. If SW3 can clear 500k its more successful than SW2 on PS2.

Am I like the only person who doesn't give a crap about graphics in a Dynasty/Samurai Warriors title?

All I want is a ton of unique characters, a bunch of missions and musou modes, split-screen co-op, and the ability to kill hundreds of random doods in cool ways.

Yes I know but I´m thinking in terms of boosting Wii hardwaresales for 2009 in Japan

Well i'd like there to be graphics.  It'd be hard to play the game without them.

But they could keep the PS2 graphics from here to infinity and i'd be happy.

A solid character count, even if the graphics are rather bad.

Should help bolster the Wii's chances against the Slim-and-FFXIII PS3 surge in Japan this holiday.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I was sure release date was November 2009, as it was confirmed in the UK Koei-Tecmo forums by a moderator, so I was rather disappointed that the date was changed to March 2010. Well, now I can say that Wii does have at least a big non-Nintendo hitter, which is very much needed, as the boost it can provide is huge, as what happened with MH3 this week.
